This is a grassroots effort to help the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake of 12 January 2010. The re-building of the affected areas will take years. The vast majority of the people have no shelter, no homes to go back to - men, women and children are all sleeping outside, exposed to the elements. South African Wines

Mann Vintners Chenin Blanc 2008 South Africa
Lively aromas of tropical fruits and melon, with crisp, bold citrus and tropical fruit flavours. Serve chilled.  Perfect with seafood, chicken and spice.

Fairview Sauvignon Blanc 2009 South Africa
Punchy green fig aromas with a hint of flintiness on the nose. Capsicum flavours are balanced by riper fruit which comes through on the palate, creating fullness and leading to a well balanced finish.

Excelsior Chardonnay 2008 South Africa
Hint of peach, marmalade,and orange blossom. Green apple fruit on a full creamy palate. Only very lightly oaked for everyday drinking.

Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 South Africa
Ripe blackcurrants a plumy fruit. Soft ripe tannins balance toasty oak aromas and sweet fruit flavors.  Good structure with soft, clean finish.

Indaba Merlot 2008 South Africa

Huge dollops of ripe mulberry and cherry fruit on the nose, inky red/black colour with bright tints. Juicy, accessible, soft and rich on the palate with a delicious fruit concentration. This perennial goes well with spicy foods.

Ken Forrester Petit Rose Stellenbosch 2008 South Africa
Orange-pink. Bright aromas and flavors of watermelon and strawberry. Juicy, fruity, fairly dry and easygoing, but with good cut. Not a complex wine but there’s good lift to the fresh fruit and nice persistence. And downright gulpable.

Dense aromas and flavors of dark jammy cherries, blackberry, plum and hints of cedar. Great with braised red meats or grilled fish

Steppe Cellars Dry Riesling 2006 Rattlesnake Hills
The delicate floral, honey and apple aromasin this wine intensify on the palate with nuancesof pear. Will match with most lightly flavored dishes.
